Recruitment Liverpool Association of Disabled People (LAD)
is run and controlled by disabled people and has been established
for over 46 years. We offer a range of advice services and are expanding
this with an Advocacy Project for older disabled people and personal
assistants. Administration Officer - Advocacy Service This person will be required to provide general telephone duties, typing reports & letters, filing and updating project accounts, collating statistical information and inputting it onto our database. You must have excellent communication and general administrative
skills along with a good level of literacy / numeracy. Experience
of working with information technology including the Microsoft
packages of Word and Excel are essential. Job Application Form Advocacy Officer LAD is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Advocacy Officer to join its successful advice team. You will be expected to advise and act on behalf of disabled people and carers who are having difficulty accessing their rights to Council services, employment, housing, hospital aftercare etc. You must have at least two years recent experience, paid or unpaid,
in Advocacy/Advice work and a working knowledge of current Disability & other
relevant Legislation. Both posts are funded by The Big Lottery Fund for a period of 3 years. Closing date for vacancies : Friday 10th March at
